Chandratal
Chandratal (or Chandra Taal), the "Moon Lake," is a stunning, crescent-shaped, high-altitude freshwater lake in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh. Sitting at an elevation of 4,300 meters (14,100 feet), it is celebrated for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and dramatic mountain scenery.

Climate
Chandratal Lake features a cold, arid, high-altitude alpine climate with extremely low oxygen levels and high UV radiation. Summer (June to September) brings mild, sunny days (12°C to 18°C) and freezing or near-freezing nights (0°C to 5°C). Winters are severe, with the lake freezing over and roads heavily blocked by snow.
